Judaism is portable. Mostly because it has needed to be. Jews have wandered, not just from Egypt to Israel, but all around the world. Sometimes seeking opportunity, and sometimes fleeing oppression. Today Jews are wandering some more. And the new addresses they are living at don't end in "Avenue" or "Street" but ".com" and ".org." In this session, we'll ask what the heck that means for the future of Judaism, and why it represents one of the most monumental opportunities, and challenges, in the history of Jewish meaning-making and community-building.
